They say a wedding coordinator is one of the most stressful jobs out there, but it could also be the most rewarding.
On Friday afternoon, I received a phone call from a desperate bride who just lost her wedding venue in Malibu from the Woolsey Fire. She was scheduled to get married the very next day when she found out it had been cancelled. Her and her fiancé had 235 guests that all made the trip out to celebrate their wedding weekend, and several of them flew in from Portugal.
Unfortunately, our venue was fully committed on Saturday, but they were able to inform all of their vendors and guests that the wedding will be held at Wilson Creek Winery on Sunday instead. Our amazing chef was able to put together a menu and get a rush order of food for 235 people in the matter of minutes while our event captain secured enough staff on a holiday weekend to make this whole day happen. The bride and groom were beyond grateful for our Wilson Creek Family who made a wedding of this caliber happen on one day’s notice.
I couldn’t be happier with the way everything turned out, and I owe it all to our amazing team at Wilson Creek Winery. Thank you everyone who played a part in today. It was definitely the most memorable wedding I have ever been a part of, and it’s days like these that make me realize just how special my job really is. ♥️
