- Why Wilson Creek is growing and making a big splash in Southern California Wine Country:
- The family "charm" at the winery. Mid-west hospitality that makes people feel connected to the Wilson family. When people leave they tend to say something like, "Wow, what a fun experience." Golden retrievers, laughter and smiles permeate the energetic tasting room.
- Great wine: Wilson Creek (and Temecula in general) is raising eyebrows with the numerous medals and regional and national accolades. "In a way, we are reaping what we have sown. It's in our family DNA to give, and have fun doing so" says Mick Wilson. The family gives back to the community in hosting and sponsoring fundraisers for numerous local charities. Wilson Creek was recently voted "Temecula Valley GOLD Business of the Year" by the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce.
- Southern California Wine Country is closer than you think. Temecula is about a 75-minute drive from Pasadena and a 50-minute drive from San Diego. Just get to the 15 and go south. Go left on Rancho California Rd, where after 5 miles; you will see Temecula Valley Wine Country with over 20 wineries. Wilson Creek is exactly 7 miles East of I15 on Rancho California Rd. right at the end of wine tasting row. Most wineries are open 10-5 every day.
